New Years Eve Bush Dance
31st December 2008
A great family night in the 150-year old shed.
The rafters of the huge Jondaryan Woolshed will ring to the unmistakeable
sound of the Ridgee Didge Bush Band on New Years Eve, as it has
done for the last 18 years. The woolshed is THE best venue for a
Bush Dance, and New Years Eve is a great reason to have one!
It has become a family tradition, with kids dances, raffles, door
prizes, and a great atmosphere.
Come early for dinner, and camp overnight in your tent or caravan
or in the old Shearers Quarters themselves, and enjoy some of the
daytime tours, activities and demonstrations at the Jondaryan Woolshed
as well.

You can book your group into a cosy alcove on the Woolshed dance
floors (there are two dance floors this year), or a table in the
Roustabout’s Marquee just outside the woolshed (where it might
be bit quieter!)
The alcoves accommodate from 12 to 15 people, with a wool bale or
a table to rest your drinks on. Other areas are available for smaller
groups, or we will arrange for you to share and meet new people!
The tables in the Marquee will have a circle of 8 to 10 chairs
around them.
There will be some areas of just seating without tables (for those
who didn’t book a table). 10% deposit will secure your booking.
Rooms in the Shearers Quarters house from 4 to 10 people, and are
booked early. A limited number of powered caravan sites are available,
and lots of space for camp sites. Unfortunately open fires are not
allowed due to the fire risk, but there is a communal fireplace
and cooking facilities in the Shearer’s Quarters Cookhouse.
Book early for the Bushmans Breakfast so we can know if it is justified.
