Education: School Programs: Day Visits
Teachers are advised to adopt a field study focus by
presenting students with a broad theme to explore during their visit.
An in-depth investigation of a subject engages students in critical
thinking and problem solving, providing structure to their learning.
Day trips have program sessions that range from 45 minutes to two
hours.
Programs consist of morning and afternoon guided tours, workshops,
activities and demonstrations offered by trained volunteers and
qualified staff.
Programs are designed to have relevance and interest to specific
age groups and relate to school subject areas
Activity times and group sizes will be assigned depending on your
needs. We recommend a 3-4 hour stay. You may continue to visit exhibits
after your guided tour and programs have ended, or visit our Reading
Corner and curl up with a book or dress up in the Costume Corner
and have your photograph taken.
